Tub Mermaids

Seeing as there weren’t going to be any aquatic accomodations at any of the hotels we were to stay at..we decided to take initiative and make our own in Lindsay and Micaela’s bathtub at the Hua Du Hotel.

The most wonderful thing about fast food in China is their ability to bring the founder to the people. Here, the once-living Colonel Sanders stands posing for the camera with Lauren. As her warm lips touch his cold, pale cheeks you can see as a little pink fill his complexion.

How can you resist that face? Those eyes? Audrey throws herself to the mercy of Ronald McDonald as he pulls those age-old moves on her. Their hands say it all, they are absolutely compatible… how come he can only exist in fiberglass form in China? Why not America? It’s a forbidden love…

Knife Frenzy

Knives..knives, knives, knives. A continuing theme for the male members of YCSP throughout our stay in China. Here the murderous bunch poses for a gruesome shot to let anyone know you don’t MESS with us!

Progressing later in to the trip, we found the size of the knives they bought getting larger and larger until they were carting around entire swords in their suitcases. Luke even went so far as to buy a retractable sword so that it wouldn’t take up too much space in his luggage. Unfortunately, as tends to happen with everything, Micaela broke it and what was once one sword was now a dagger and a blunt tip with a handle…

Two in One

Audrey and Renee show off the perks of having three to a room. Not only does the suite have two bathrooms, but in the master bathroom there are two showers side-by-side!!

Naptime on Tiananmen Square

So, you know we got tired! I mean really tired…so tired that just when to rest got to be a real problem for some of the weaker ones…this is Audrey suffering through what seems to be her last breath in the smoldering heat at Tiananmen Square.

As you can see, in the background, a group of budding young psychiatrists study the characteristics of narcolepsy.

These four ‘off-the-mark’ Charlie’s Angels (we’ll call them China’s Angels) posed in effort to show Mr. Deville that they were ready for their close up.

Hello Dollies!

What’s traveling without shopping? Here Micaela, Lindsay, Lauren, and Alex pose in the dresses they bought at the shopping center down the street from the Hua Du Hotel.

This is right before we went out to eat Peking Duck (or as Mr. Beebe so aptly put it, Beijing Chicken..which also earned him the nickname ‘Chicaroni’..) at a restaurant with one of Yung Mei’s friends, Mitch. Aren’t they just to die for?

One of the cool things about the Great Wall is that there are many cool pictures you can take without even having to have too much artistic ability.

Here we have Jay, Katie, Luke, Jim, and Cyrus standing completely straight while on the steep decline of the Great Wall (which it has the tendency to have dramatic angles in many places) and the only change made was the angle of the camera.

If you tilt your head to the right to make the mountains in the background line up with an ‘imaginary’ horizon line you’ll get only the slightest idea of how steep the Great Wall can be.

Using up the rest of Renee’s film on the last night in Tokyo was definitely an unflattering idea to both photogenial qualities of Lauren and Audrey…just look at that patooty and those put-’um-theres! Atrocious!
